Our History
Established in 1988, the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club emerged from the initiative of the Kangaroo Flat Football Club, aiming to create a community sporting hub. Construction began in 1990, funded by various stakeholders including the Marong Shire Council and local community.
Financial stability led to the formation of the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club Committee in 1992, initiating a trajectory of growth.
Gaming machine introductions in 1994 bolstered financial support for associated clubs, paving the way for further expansions and refurbishments.
Continuous development including a significant building extension completed in 2012, supported by local authorities and community contributions, has positioned the club for a promising future, with ongoing expansions and improvements.
The Sports Club is now well known for offering outstanding facilities for all occasions and is a key provider of food, entertainment, sporting, and meeting facilities. The bistro accommodates seating up to 180 people while the function rooms are used by individuals and local organisations for celebrations, events and meetings.
