Function With Us
We have a variety of versatile spaces, catering for events from casual birthdays to formal receptions, club presentations and corporate events. Ideally located in the heart of Kangaroo Flat, our venue is perfect for your next function.
We have a range of food options available – from morning and afternoon tea, finger food, set menus or bistro meals – depending on the size of your group and the room you choose.
Function Room
Holds up to 100 guests seated and 120 standing, and features a dance floor and stage area with full AV equipment. The Function Room can also be connected to the Glass Room which will then cater for up to 200 guests.
Glass Room
Holds up to 60 guests seated and 80 standing. The Glass Room looks out over the oval, and is ideal for small groups, intimate events or training sessions.
Board Room
Holds up to 30 guests seated or standing. The Board Room has a wonderful view of the oval and has full AV equipment available. It is a great room for small functions or business meetings.

Terms & Conditions
Tentative Bookings
You are welcome to make a tentative booking with us for your preferred date and time and we will endeavour to hold this for you for up to seven (7) days. Kangaroo Flat Sports Club reserves the right to take a confirmed booking over any tentative booking, but we will give you first option to confirm
Deposit and Confirmation
We require a deposit of $100.00 at the confirmation of your booking, unless an alternative agreement has been made with the function manager. For catering purposes, confirmation of the total number of guests attending your function is required seven (7) days prior to the event. The confirmation number provided is what your final account will be based on. Changes on the day cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation
We understand that at times circumstances change, and a booking may need to be cancelled. The Kangaroo Flat Sports Club still incurs expenses, so to cover these expenses the following cancellation policy applies:
– $100.00 booking deposit will be retained.
Payment
Kangaroo Flat Sports Club requires payment in full of the invoice, five (5) days prior to the date of the function, unless a prior arrangement has been made with the function manager, and reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not made. An invoice will be emailed or mailed out to you after confirmation of the booking and food requirements. Payment can be made by instalments. Please see our function manager to arrange this, otherwise Cash or Credit Card are accepted, including direct bank deposit.
Function Duration
General functions are for a duration of five (5) hours unless otherwise arranged with the function manager. Extensions can be made with prior agreement and may incur additional costs. Evening functions will end no later than 12am, with the bar closing 30 minutes prior to the scheduled closing time unless alternative times have been approved by the function manager. Wakes will have access to the function rooms for a duration of 3 hours unless prior arrangement is made with the function manager.
Decoration
You are welcome to apply additional decoration to your function on the day of your event provided there are no functions beforehand. Please call 24 hours beforehand to confirm availability to do so. Nothing is to be screwed down or stapled to any walls or other surfaces in the building, and sticky tape is not to be used. Glitter, confetti and sparklers are strictly prohibited from use. Additional cleaning charges will be incurred should your function create cleaning requirements deemed outside general cleaning. All decorations brought into the venue must be removed at the end of the night unless alternative arrangements have been made with the function manager.
Food & Beverage Policy
No food or beverage is to be brought onto the premises without prior consent from the function manager. Celebration cakes are approved however a mandatory cake waiver must be signed. Delivery of celebration cakes may be taken on the day of your function and must be removed at the conclusion of your event. Kangaroo Flat Sports Club reserves the right to dispose of food left behind.
Music & Multimedia
Guests are welcome to provide their own means of music. We have a stage for bands, a jukebox or DJ and a dance floor in the main function room. Alternatively, you may wish to bring in your own sound system. A full PA system is available with multiple microphone styles to choose from. Our projector system includes a portable projector with PC / Laptop connections and a 6ft portable screen. You are welcome to test the equipment prior to your function.
